By volunteering for POhWER you will have an opportunity make a real difference to people’s lives by helping them to get information, speak up and get their voice heard.

We aim to make the best use of your current skills and abilities by matching you to a role which you are interested in and we want you to have an opportunity to meet people and develop your skills.

If you would like to apply to volunteer with POhWER you can fill in the online application form and we will contact you to talk to you in more detail about volunteer opportunities in your area.

  • Self-advocacy Volunteers support the development of self-advocacy groups and support people to develop their own skills.
  • Shadow Advocate Volunteers invest their free time to work with paid advocates who offer one to one and small group support to people in their local community.
  • Volunteer Office Administrator is an opportunity for people to support our local offices and our front line staff with a range of administrative duties.
  • Community Engagement Volunteers support the local team to help the community understand who we are, what our services do and to ensure they know how to get in contact with us and get involved.
  • Fundraising Volunteers support activities to raise money for POhWER, such as through investigating and applying for grants and organising and attending local events.
