Brighton and Hove

POhWER provides advocacy for the people of Brighton and Hove as part of the Sussex Advocacy Partnership. We work with Mind in Brighton and Hove, MindOut, Brighton & Hove Speak Out, Sussex Interpreting Services and Impact Advocacy. We deliver a range of statutory and non-statutory advocacy services.


East Sussex

In East Sussex POhWER provides Independent Mental Capacity Advocacy, including Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards and Relevant Paid Persons Representative. We also provide Independent Mental Health Advocacy, including Community Mental Health Advocacy, Advocacy under the Care Act, Children’s Advocacy and Independent Community Advocacy.

Oxfordshire Advocacy Hub

In Oxfordshire, from 1st October all advocacy services will be delivered by the Oxfordshire Advocacy Hub. POhWER will be delivering all adult advocacy services in partnership with NYAS who will be delivering all children’s advocacy countywide.

Reading

In Reading, POhWER provides Independent Mental Capacity Advocacy, including Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards service to support vulnerable people who lack capacity and need to make important decisions but have no representatives as defined under the Mental Capacity Act 2005.


West Sussex

POhWER provides advocacy for the people of West Sussex as part of the Sussex Advocacy Partnership. We deliver a range of advocacy services in partnership with Mind in Brighton and Hove, MindOut, Brighton & Hove Speak Out, Sussex Interpreting Services and Impact Advocacy.
