Our Impact

It is vitally important that individuals’ rights are protected, their voices are heard and they are able to access the support available. POhWER is committed to providing advocacy, information and advice services that support this aim.

Our latest Impact Report showcases the amazing work and outcomes that are delivered through our services and the positive difference they make to people’s lives.

We have also published a Covid-19 Impact Report to demonstrate how we have responded to the pandemic.

Our year in numbers. Supported a total of 55,591 people including 40,111 people through our advocacy services. Supported a total of 97,083 issues including 72,074 issues through our advocacy services. Supported 4,913 more people than in 2018-19. Delivered our services in formal partnership with 29 organisations. Of the people we supported:* 38% had a mental health condition 24% were over 75 16% had a long-term condition or illness 10% had a learning disability 10% had dementia 9% had a physical disability 4% had a sensory impairment 3% had Autism *Many people reported multiple support needs. 318,000 raised through fundraising, grants and new service projects. 253,216 contacts handled by our Help hubs, a 17% increase on the previous year. Of the service users who answered our feedback survey question about working with their advocate 98% rated the support they received as excellent or good. Of the professionals and stakeholder swho answered ourfeedback surveyquestion about their overall experience of POhWER 97% said they were fully satisfied or satisfied
