POhWER has been working in West Sussex since 2010. Great news due to the success of the service we have been asked to deliver our IMCA and RPPR until March 2018.

We offer the following services in West Sussex:

  • Independent Mental Capacity Advocacy service (IMCA), including Depprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS) and Relevant Person's Paid Representative Services (RPPR)

Joanne is a 41 year old woman with a diagnosis of Huntingdon’s disease. She has two young teenage children who live in the local area with her ex-partner. Joanne was referred for Independent Mental Capacity Advocacy (IMCA) due to a change of accommodation decision, but was moved a day later before an advocate could get involved.
