Salary: £20,822.20 -  £24,496.50 pro rata, per annum [FTE £29,746.00 - £34,995.00 per annum] (dependent on experience) + Benefits

Job Information:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full time Community Manager to join our team on a permanent basis. 

You will be responsible for leading and developing our specialist advocates in the delivery of advocacy within Buckinghamshire to work with people to ensure that their voices are heard and that they have a say in decisions being made about their lives.

We help people understand and participate in their care and treatment, keeping them at the centre of decision making at all times. Our advocates’ role is to inform people of their rights, understand the goals and ambitions that each person wants to work towards and to support and empower them to be involved in decisions about them including supporting them to raise any concerns or complaints.

You will be supporting your teams in Buckinghamshire in working with a wide range of vulnerable adults often with profound and multiple needs, so you will need have experience of this type of work, along with a good working knowledge of public and voluntary organisations.

You will be a confident positive team player, able to work in partnership with colleagues, clients and professionals, gaining an understanding of their issues by listening, exploring options and agreeing actions. Our ideal candidate will have worked in advocacy, information and advice or a similar role before, ideally in a health, social care, secure or voluntary setting.

You will need to have a flexible attitude and must be comfortable handling highly sensitive information whilst able to work well independently and confidently on behalf of others. Strong and inspiring leadership skills and time management skills will be required and you will need to be computer literate. 

Because of the nature and location of the role, applicants must have a full driver’s licence and access to their own transport. All reasonable travel expenses will be paid in line with POhWER’s expenses policy.
