POhWER has delivered advocacy services in Gloucestershire since 2017.

In Gloucestershire POhWER provides

• Independent Mental Capacity Advocacy (IMCA) including Relevant Person’s Paid Representatives (RPPR)
• Independent Mental Health Advocacy (IMHA)
• Independent Health Complaints Advocacy (IHCA)
• Independent Care Act Advocacy which includes Independent Advocacy for Adult Social Care Complainants.
• Community Mental Health Advocacy - currently available for inpatients on Abbey or Dean ward at Wotton Lawn Hospital
• Carers Advocacy - for carers of patients at Wotton Lawn Hospital on Abbey, Dean, Kingsholm and Priory wards, and at Charlton Lane Hospital, to gain an understanding of their needs; provide information about their rights, the discharge process, and other local services; and support them at relevant meetings.

To make a referral to the advocacy services in Gloucestershire, you can download the forms:
