POhWER has been working in Hertfordshire since 1996.
Since April 2015, the Advocacy service is provided under the Hertshelp brand in partnership with a wide range of voluntary sector organizations; including Carers in Herts (CiH), Headway, Herts Independent Living service (HILS), Hertfordshire Society for the Blind (HSB) and Viewpoint.

HertsHelp Volunteer Poster
Caroline, 86, contacted HertsHelp after seeing an article in the Horizon magazine. She felt her house was always cold in the winter, but couldn’t afford to put her heating on for very long. Read how our HertsHelp advisor helped Caroline with her problems.
Throughout the year we value the support provided by volunteers across our services in Hertfordshire. We offer a supportive team environment, opportunities to learn new skills or brush up on your existing ones and a chance to gain experience in customer service, administration, IT, advocacy and communication.
