About the role: An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Triage Information, Advice and Advocacy Support Officer to join our dedicated Birmingham contact centre team based in Birmingham on a 6 month fixed term contract.

You will be supporting a wide range of vulnerable people over the phone or via email, exploring options and directing clients and taking action as required. Ideally you will have worked in, information and advice or similar role before, particularly with a health, social care or voluntary sector background and experience of working with vulnerable adults with sometimes profound and multiple needs.

Our ideal candidate will be an effective, confident team player with excellent good clear call handling skills and an awareness of information, advice and advocacy services and of public and third sectors. Good IT skills, a working knowledge of standard Microsoft office programs, and experience of triaging high volume of calls and emails whilst working in a team are all essential for this role. We work core hours from 8am to 6pm Monday to Friday and thus some shifts may cover hours until 6pm.

You will need to have a flexible attitude and must be comfortable handling highly sensitive information, and in seeking support and supervision. Strong communication skills and time management skills will be required and you will need to be computer literate.
