Salary: up to £31,062 per annum (dependent on experience)

About the role:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Training Officer, working within our people team, to support all colleagues with the co-ordination of their training needs and requirements from providing initial advice in relation to their personal development, up to and including supporting them to attend relevant training. 

The successful candidate will work closely with the HR team and Managers to improve induction and onboarding programmes for new starters to ensure all training needs are met. You will identify training and development needs, through job analysis and performance appraisals and design training development programmes for existing colleagues ensuring that mandatory training is completed in a timely manner.

The Training Officer will work with the whole People Directorate to ensure best practice is applied to all training activities and ensure continuous review and improvement of colleagues training experience is considered and that training is accessible for all colleagues within POhWER.

We are looking for someone who has excellent knowledge of the MS Office suite and good administrative, organisational and time management skills with the ability to work accurately, with attention to detail.  The successful candidate will have knowledge and experience in delivering training and/or working in a training team and be able to multi task and priortise workload.

The successful candidate will have a confident and positive attitude as well as a strong team player with a flexible approach to meet needs of the team/business.  You will have the ability to work confidently and independently with staff at all levels in the organization with a commitment to a high level of confidentiality.
