About the role: An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our team of bank Information, Advice and Advocacy Support Officers working in our dedicated contact centre in Stevenage, providing cover for the Helpline during high demand or staff absence.

About you: You will be a confident positive team player, able to gain information quickly over the phone or via email, exploring options and taking action as required. Ideally you will have worked in advocacy, Information and advice or similar role before, especially in a health, social care or voluntary setting and will have experience of working with vulnerable adults.

You will need to have a flexible attitude and must be comfortable handling highly sensitive information, and in seeking support and supervision. Strong communication skills and time management skills will be required and you will need to be computer literate using a range of software.

It is expected that you will attend intensive training sessions in order to give you a good understanding of the tasks required initially, you will then be provided with on going training and support as you build up your hours.  Hours are not guaranteed and you may be asked to work at short notice, however it is anticipated that you will work a variety of shifts.
