About the role: An exciting opportunity has arisen for 5 full time First Responders to join our Information, Advice and Advocacy Support centre (IAASC) team based in Birmingham, working on a fixed term contract to provide an excellent first response to clients across POhWER services and support with administration functions within the IAASC centre.

The role involves managing contacts with clients and others enquiring about POhWER services in accordance with guidance and process whilst presenting a positive and professional image of our organisation. Responding to enquiries by telephone, letter or through the website directing clients onto relevant support and providing some signposting. To provide administration support to the team and to participate in meetings and training as required.

Our ideal candidates will be effective, confident team players with good clear call handling skills and an awareness of information, advice and advocacy services. Good IT skills, a working knowledge of standard Microsoft office programs, data entry and experience of delivering admin support whilst working in a team are all essential for this role. We work core hours from 8am to 6pm Monday to Friday and thus some shifts may cover hours until 6pm.

You will need to have a flexible attitude and be committed to your own personal development within the role along with an understanding of the public and third sectors.

Strong communication skills and time management skills will be required and you will need to be computer literate. An NVQ level 2 in Advice and Guidance or customer service would be desirable.
