About the role:

We are looking to recruit people who share our core values and can demonstrate that they apply and live those values in their daily working practice.

We have a current vacancy for a Fundraising Officer to be based in our Birmingham office.

This new role will help raise funds through major gifts, grants and fundraising projects and activities. To recruit internal and external supporters and provide excellent donor support. To prepare grant applications, and promote POhWER fundraising using press, publicity and social media. To develop fundraising materials, develop new ideas and maintain a fundraising database.

About you:

You will need experience in fundraising, or demonstrate transferable marketing/sales skills. The ability to meet income targets. Have excellent accurate written and oral communication skills able to build rapport with diverse audiences and be a good team player

A commitment to the people POhWER supports including those living with mental ill health, disability and dementia.

Candidates will need to travel independently of public transport and have access to their own vehicle. Candidates will also be expected to attend some evening networking or fundraising events should they arise.
