Julie Born I joined POhWER in April 2021 as the new People Director, following my Interim assignment. As a Charity the work POhWER do is close to my heart and definitely in line with my own ethics – equal treatment for all. Having trained as an accountant, then moving in to recruitment, up to management, operations and eventually HR, I do believe I have found my true calling. I am truly passionate about great HR and this is evident in the practices I champion and my strong HR ethic. Inclusive and collaborative working relationships, engagement and optimising individual performance through development has always been high on my agenda. I have embraced my own professional development through the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development and continue to have a curious mind, always asking questions and keen to learn. I am excited to have been given this opportunity to develop the People Directorate in line with the new five year strategy and can’t wait to influence positive changes that will continue to enhance the lives of not only our colleagues in POhWER but also those of the people we support on a daily basis. When not at work, I like to take short breaks, by the sea, in my caravan with my husband and three dogs. Manage Cookie Preferences
