The Care Provider Forum offers a space for providers to discuss their views on matters of safeguarding with the Board. Multi-agency professionals attend to update on training and other developments affecting the sector. It also offers a great opportunity to meet other providers and build a network with them to provide support and feedback on issues affecting there area of work. The Forum runs quarterly sessions in Essex and providers are encouraged to be actively involved. The Care Provider forum on 4th April, began to respond to the suggestions made by providers. We will have guest speakers from the contracts team at Essex County Council providing updates on key requirements such as safer recruitment checks.

The latest Care Provider Forum was held on 27th June and featured local Prevent representatives, while guest speaker, the Chief Superintendent of Essex Police gave a presentation on Gangs & Cuckooing.. Although the event has passed, all details can be found on the following webpage: http://www.essexsab.org.uk/News/tabid/3228/ArticleID/1387/ArtMID/8575/language/en-US/Default.aspx
