Salary: £32,000 – £35,000 per annum (dependent on experience) + Benefits

About the role: We have a current vacancy for a Community Manager to manage our advocacy services in Bedfordshire, Luton and Milton Keynes. 

We are looking to recruit people who share our core values and can demonstrate that they apply and live those values in their daily working practice.

The role is based on the attached job description and salary offered and will be dependent on the level of skills and experience that closely match the role. You will be reporting into the Bedford Office and will be expected to make regular visits to the surrounding areas. 

About you: You will be supporting staff who work with a wide range of vulnerable people with sometimes profound and multiple needs, it is essential that you have experience of this type of work, along with a good working knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act, Mental Health and Care Act. Our ideal candidate will have worked in advocacy, Information and advice or similar role before, preferably in a health, social care or voluntary setting and will have experience of working with vulnerable adults.

You will need to have a flexible attitude and must be comfortable handling highly sensitive information, and in seeking support and supervision. Strong communication skills, time management skills will be required as well as being computer literate.

Due to the nature of the role you will need a full driver’s licence, access to your own transport as the role will involve occasional travel to other sites and you will be required to work outside of core hours from time to time.
