  • Attend our Annual General Meetings
  • Have the chance to vote on important POhWER business
  • Be involved in supporting POhWER's work
  • Apply to be a Trustee

Who can be a POhWER Member?

  • Anyone can apply to be a POhWER Member
  • Your application must be approved by the Board of trustees before you can be a member.
  • You can join as an individual, professional, group or organisation
  • It is important to remember that as a Member you respond to any information POhWER sends you.

How do Members help POhWER?

Our Members:

  • Make sure POhWER is run by and influenced by people with experience of disability and disempowerment (feeling of not being listened to)
  • Help to promote good quality advocacy in the UK
  • Help people to find advocacy services
  • Help people set up and run new projects
  • Help contribute to and inform the improvement of services
