On Saturday the 16th November, Christ Church in Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire had put together a fundraising event called The Evening Café to very kindly support and fundraise for POhWER and Latin Link.

POhWER HR Manager Shona Twohig who attended the event said "The event was very well attended not least in part due to the offer of scrumptious puddings and inspired performances of a musical nature. I particularly enjoyed a song about trigonometry called Hypotenuse set to Elton John’s tune I guess that’s why they call it the blues which was very entertaining and educational at the same time. You had to be there!!"

POhWER Head of New Business Fiona McArthur-Worbey also attended the event and did a short presentation hi-lighting the amazing work POhWER does to support our vulnerable clients and really make a difference to their lives and how important donations are in allowing us to reach even more people when they are most in need and often have nowhere else to turn.

POhWER would like to thank Christ Church and everyone who supported on the night by digging deep and donating. A special mention also to Shirley Bisgrove from the Herts Help team for putting POhWER forward as the chosen local charity with her local church community.
