Sonia Burns, an advocate for POhWER Nottingham team has completed her fundraising challenge to raise money for an event POhWER’s Nottingham team are organising in October, by taking part in a 10 mile trail race in the Derbyshire countryside.

Sonia completed her trail race on Sunday 15th July. Sonia and her other colleagues from the Nottingham team together have so far raised over £300 for the event.

Sonia said 'It was a boiling hot day and the first part of the race involved running along some dusty trails, through corn fields in the blazing sun, and up some not insubstantial hills!

Fortunately the second half of the race was a bit more forgiving with some downhill stretches through shady woods.

Despite it being tough going in parts I really enjoyed the race, it was very friendly and well organised and we ran through some stunning countryside.

I got in just under two hours which was my goal considering the conditions'.
