POhWER’s annual Shout About It event was a great success for the fourth year running.

There were 80 Stalls and over 500 visitors that came to talk to the different stall holders about the services that are available to the people of Hertfordshire. The Mayor of Stevenage , councillor Pam Stuart attended the event, and was greeted by our vice president and founder member Steven Rathbone. There were performances by the County Hall Singers and the Purple All Stars, a variety of workshops and activities were held throughout the day.

The event was held to raise awareness about the work that POhWER does and to highlight the different services local organisations provide for people with disabilities and mental health difficulties across Hertfordshire. Other organisations that attended included, Lifegeta, Viewpoint, Mind Hertfordshire, Herts Help, Jolly Days supported holidays and The Living Room.

POhWER advocate and event organiser Natasha Bartley said: "The event grows every year, and the feedback has been really positive, I am excited that this went so well and cannot wait to do the next one next year."

The event goes from strength to strength each year and this is thanks to all of the people that hold stalls each year and the visitors that attended on the day.

POhWER would like to thank everyone that came to the event including the stall holders and visitors, as well as POhWER employees that worked hard to make this possible.
