Department of Health: Putting people in control of their care

Thirteen individual budgets pilots will benefit older people, people with physical disabilities or sensory impairment, people with learning disabilities and people with mental health needs, from 2006. Local councils will share £2.6million to set up systems and run the pilots for between 18 months and two years.
