The NHS Complaints Procedure National Evaluation Report

16 September 2004

The NHS Complaints Procedure National Evaluation Report in March 2002 found that almost three-quarters of those interviewed who had experience of the old NHS Complaints Procedure believed it to be either unfair or biased.

To address some of the issues raised in the report, the Healthcare Commission now delivers the second tier of the complaints process (or independent review) stage of the NHS complaints procedure in England.
