Electronic Patient Records (EPR)

Health Minister John Hutton has confirmed that the roll out of Electronic Patient Records (EPR) and giving patients access to them was to start during the summer, with implementation due for completion by 2010. He said, "The Department is exploring different ways that patients can access their own records through the 'HealthSpace' project, which is supported by NHS Direct."
