Leigh Hutchings
Biography:
Leigh’s background is in engineering and as a result his skills lie in trouble-shooting and problem-solving.
Over the years Leigh has lost his eyesight to the stage that he has become completely blind. He is now deeply involved in the voluntary sector with a particular interest in access, equality and campaigning against physical and communicational barriers as well as people's attitudes that cause barriers to stop people with a disability living an inclusive lifestyle.
Some of the groups and committees Leigh sits on are Disability Watford (a founding member), Watford District Talking Newspaper for the Blind, Watford Borough Council's Equality Panel, Watford and Three Rivers LINk, Hertfordshire LINk, the National Association of Disabled Supporters (NADS) and he is a speaker for the Guide Dogs for the Blind Association. Working with these groups means that Leigh is also involved with working with some departments of RNIB, GDBA, NHS and ACS in Hertfordshire, Hertfordshire County Council, Watford Borough Council, The premier League, the Football League, and European Football Associations.
