POhWER has delivered advocacy services in Nottingham City and Nottinghamshire since 2010.

POhWER are working with Nottinghamshire Deaf Society to ensure deaf people in Nottingham City and Nottinghamshire can access advocacy support.

We provide the following services in Nottingham City:

Independent Mental Capacity Advocacy (IMCA) including Relevant Person's Paid Representative Services (RPPR) and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS)
Community Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards/1.2 Representative
Independent Mental Health Advocacy (IMHA) (Includes Informal/voluntary patients in hospital settings)
Independent Health Complaints Advocacy (IHCAS)
Independent Care Act Advocacy (Includes people in prison within Nottingham City and Nottinghamshire)
Learning Disability and Autism Programme (LDA) (For children, young people, and adults with learning disabilities and/or autism)
Volunteer and group support
Changing Futures Independent Advocacy Service for adults in Nottingham City who experience severe and multiple disadvantage (SMD), and need help to raise an issue about services they have received, including housing services, criminal justice services, domestic or sexual abuse services, recovery providers and training providers.
