Barry and the Advocate meet and Barry explains that he wants his two children to be able to come and stay overnight with him but he just does not have enough room

The Advocate agrees to research Barry’s options and come back to him with some information about his rights and some of the choices available to him

The Advocate meets with Barry again and tells him what he has found out

Barry tells the Advocate he has contacted the housing office and has found out he will have to wait a long time to get a larger flat

Barry is unhappy about the things he is being told and decides a plan of action

The Advocate helps Barry write a letter to the Council’s Housing Department, and also help him write letters to his MP and his local Councillor

Barry is invited by the MP to meet with him to discuss things further

The Advocate supports Barry at the meeting with the MP and Barry is able to put forward his concerns
